I am so proud of Ginger! Over the past nine months, her confidence in her running ability has skyrocketed! she has set PR's from 5k-15k and ran her first ever half marathon!! I cannot wait to see what else she is going to bring to 2018! Read below; the interview with Junes Pace Right Coaching Athlete of the month; Ginger Lockamy!

Why did you choose to work with Pace Right Coaching?

I won a free session, and I was hooked!

What do you like about online coaching?

I like that I can schedule my workouts whenever I want, and Amanda is always available to help when I have a question.

What are your training goals? What are you training for?

I'd like to get faster. We've spend the last several months working on endurance in preparation for my first half marathon. Now, I'd like to focus on getting faster. My next goal is to run a sub-27-minute 5k. I've also got another half marathon coming up in October.

What has Pace Right Coaching helped you to achieve?

I've really increased my endurance - from only being able to run 4 miles, to being able to run an entire half marathon. I've also gotten faster and PR'd in the 5k, 8k, and 15k. I've even won a few age group awards!

Do you have a favorite race distance? What is it (are they) and why?

Probably the 5k. I'm a sprinter at heart, so I like shorter distances.

Do you recommend Pace Right Online Coaching? Why or why not?

Absolutely! I love having someone else put my workouts together for me. It takes a lot of work and pressure off of me to figure out what to do. And the workouts are always just challenging enough to push me without killing me.

What is something people may be surprised to find out about you?

I got my first tattoo when I was 18; I'm trying to decide on my next one.

What is your favorite exercise? Least favorite?

I love sprint work. I hate the stationary bicycle.

What has been your proudest moment working with Pace Right Coaching?

Finishing my half marathon. I never thought I would be able to run 13.1 miles, and although I was 4 minutes short of my goal time, it felt so good to conquer that (very hilly) course.

Where is your dream race-cation?

Somewhere out west - I'd love to do the Grand Circle Trailfest (https://vacationraces.com/trailfest/grand-circle-trailfest/)
